About House of J Boxing Club

houseofj.jfif

House of J Boxing LLC is a Roanoke-based, membership-driven organization dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages and abilities through the art of boxing. We believe that everyone; regardless of age, background, or experience, deserves access to the benefits of discipline, fitness, and community.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide professional, inclusive boxing programs that build confidence, teach discipline and respect, and inspire perseverance, helping every member succeed both inside and outside the ring.

As a for-profit club with a purpose, we reinvest in our facilities, coaching, and community initiatives to ensure every member experiences the highest standard of training, mentorship, and personal development.

Where We Train

House of J Boxing is a community-driven boxing club for all ages, focused on training, mentorship, and personal development. Currently operating in the YMCA, however, House of J is actively seeking a new dedicated facility to expand access and programming. Membership fees will vary by age group and training level. Members can also support our mission by purchasing official House of J merchandise or making a donation.

How It Started

House of J began with just one coach — Juice — and one student — Jayden.
What started as a simple one-on-one boxing lesson soon became the spark for something extraordinary.

In that first session, it wasn’t just about punches or footwork, it was about belief. Juice saw potential in Jayden that went beyond the ring, and together they built more than technique; they built confidence, discipline, and trust.

Word spread quickly. People saw the energy, the encouragement, and the results - not just in fitness or skill, but in mindset and self-worth. What began with two people and a pair of gloves evolved into a growing movement.

Today, House of J Boxing stands as a thriving club; a home for athletes, beginners, and anyone ready to challenge themselves. From that first lesson to a full roster of members and coaches, our growth reflects one simple truth:
when people believe in themselves; and each other, anything is possible.

Our Roots in Roanoke

Roanoke isn’t just where we train — it’s where we belong.
Our mission is to use boxing as a force for growth; teaching respect, discipline, and perseverance.
Because we believe a strong community begins with strong individuals, and through boxing, we’re building both.

June 21st | House of J Day

In recognition of our positive impact, Mayor Joe Cobb officially declared House of J Day—a community celebration that honors our mission and the values we stand for. This acknowledgment is not just about boxing; it’s about the importance of programs that promote discipline, health, and personal growth for all.

Support House of J

HOJ is not free, but we’re not charging for membership just yet. Currently, membership is tied to an active YMCA membership.

Supporting HOJ helps us take the next big step — finding and purchasing a new location. Every bit of support makes a difference: whether it’s buying merchandise, attending club-run events, donating, or becoming a sponsor.

Your contribution doesn’t just help us — it supports our members and the wider community of all ages and backgrounds.

In the future, we’ll introduce membership tiers once we have our own facility. For now, your support is an investment in something deeper and more meaningful: building a lasting home for our community.

Our words tell our Story

At House of J Boxing, our story lives in the hearts of every member and student. What began with just one coach and one student has grown into a powerful community built on wellness, passion, and persistence. We’re more than a boxing club—we’re a family. Here, people come first, and fitness becomes a way of life. Our members don’t just train; they belong. Together, we embrace the art of boxing, strengthen our bodies and minds, and build lasting connections that carry beyond the gym.
