OUR STORIES & TESTIMONIALS //

At House of J Boxing, our story lives in the hearts of every member and student. What began with just one coach and one student has grown into a powerful community built on wellness, passion, and persistence. We’re more than a boxing club—we’re a family. Here, people come first, and fitness becomes a way of life. Our members don’t just train; they belong. Together, we embrace the art of boxing, strengthen our bodies and minds, and build lasting connections that carry beyond the gym.

\\ OUR LEADERSHIP

Coach Juice \Founder

Whether it's in the ring or not, every single bricklayer, and every single person that is involved in the House of J, has given me hope for the world in a time when we desperately need it. Whenever I witness my bricklayers, pushing themselves beyond their limits using the discipline we have taught them, and the dedication they have developed, has given me the ultimate gift, and that ultimate gift is to be blessed to be around such magnificent humble warriors.

Juice is not only a coach, but a father figure.

Juice showed me there's always light in a world of darkness, and with that light, you can light the way for others...

\\ Training Coordinator

As an Army Veterna with over 15 years of boxing training, I have a pupose to teach and train those willing to learn. For me, boxing is an artform, a dance to be mastered by the calmest minds. I live by the statement, "..the way you practice, is the way you fight.."

The House of J is built on love - love centered in being our best selves in community. Our journey in growth begins with knowing our purpose, designing it for good, being supported by our peers (of all ages), and building - together - a community empowered by love. The House of J delivers this in every way.

Balance. Purpose. Service. Discipline. The practice of any martial pursuit requires a mastery of one's mind, heart, and relationships. The House of J instills in its students a profound intellectual and emotional curiosity, resulting in some of the most exceptional young people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I'm grateful for the positive impact this organization makes and look forward to seeing its growth.

What has inspired me most about the House of J is the overwhelming persistence, discipline and determination within a growing community. It has that wow factor, when you see it, you can't help but think this is something different, this is going to change things.

First encountering Juice, he invited my nephew Zeke to join the House, now I've had the privilege to witness an amazing community, structure and legacy beyond what I could have imagined to step into.

The House of J will always have a very special place in my heart. I love working with young people, but it's even more dynamic to see young people's actions at work and seeing these young bricklayers.
Giving of themselves, giving their talents, is such a gift. Working down here at the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, just warmed my heart when I walked in one day and I saw all these young people, diligently working; painting, constructing, helping one another. That to me symbolized what it means to invest in our young people and to see them freely giving back, and with that I will always be appreciative and love, love, love seeing our youth in action! Blessings & peace and love always, thank you for the great work you do.

Over the last three years I've seen the House of J grow from Juice and Jaden training together to a full community of all ages and abilities. The growth goes beyond boxing - it's in confidence, connection, and the way everyone shows up for each other.

I've watched the House of J grow from just a few kids with a dream into somehing powerful. Coach Juice's heart for these kids and his no-nonsense dedication really set the tone! It's more than boxing, it's about confidence, discipline, and having a place to belong. You can feel the love and purpose the moment they are around! I'm proud too have seen it from the beginning, and I know this is only the start for the House of J.

Boxing has taught me patience and taking risks. Even when I'm down, I know I'll have people to bring me back to my feet, when I need it most.

BrickMaster Brother Isaac

I have gained muscle, skill, confidence and privilege to be part of one of the best communities the city has to offer. With the only requirement on my part, that I keep putting in the work.

Little Warrior.png

Third Brother Lil Warrior

The reason I joined House of J is because last year I got into a fight and another in summer school. So, I joined and it changed me. When I first joined, I couldn't do a single push up. Now I'm stronger than what I was a year ago.

JUNE 2025

I got diagnosed with depression. I told Coach Juice and he said I was strong for coming and it's okay to take a break, if I absolutely needed to. A House of J member is family. If a member falls, the others will slow down to pick them up and continue with them.

JUNE 2025

...Went through a circuit of workouts and those were brutal, to the point where I almost felt like quitting, but I never gave up. Because I knew that coach Juice and Daniel (Limitless), were depending on me, and more importantly I was depending on myself.

JUNE 2025

I joined House of J because I love sparring and push ups. My coaches teach me how to be a better boxer and I want to become a second-brother one day. Coach Juice and Jayden inspire me to be stronger because I can see how strong they are.
